Notes: An imaginative and accomplished piece of printing, strikingly illustrated. The printer makes clever use of different type to convey the nonsensical tone of the poem, which was sung by the White Knight in Carroll's 'Through the Looking Glass': only Kabel used for the narrator, whilst the aged man speaks in an eccentric combination of Caslon, Gill Sans, Goudy Old Style, Trajan, Futura, Caviar Dreams, Din and Porter.
