Notes: A notable association copy, given by Saxon Sydney-Turner - a friend of Leonard Woolf's from Cambridge and one of the founding members of what became known as the Bloomsbury Group - to his partner Barbara Bagenal (née Hiles); both of them were friends of the author - Hiles having helped the Woolfs with printing Mansfield's 'Prelude' before her marriage to Nicholas Bagenal (a development that perhaps modified but did not curtail her relationship with Sydney-Turner). The ownership inscription is identifiably in the hand of the giver rather than the recipient....more
