Notes: A scarce book, particularly so in its original binding of plain wrappers (consistent with other titles in the series), adding a substantial Preface by the author (25pp.) to his original edition of 1921. Knight's major work, assessing the relation of the three terms in its title, based on his doctoral thesis at Cornell University - but here reflected on in maturity, as an established leader of the 'Chicago School'.
