Notes: A scarce and attractive chapbook/garland of thirty Scottish songs, collected by Burns with his portrait on the cover. Burns spent the final twelve years of his life collecting and editing traditional Scottish folk songs for various collections, to which he made hundreds of contributions. As here, he sometimes rewrote traditional lyrics and set them to new or revised music.
