Notes: The second printing of these posthumously published translations, this copy with a note on the flyleaf marks this as 'Gertrude's copy' - i.e., Gavin Bone's mother, her son having died from tuberculosis the year before this volume was published. In his Introduction and notes he engages with the work of Ezra Pound (calling his translations 'not neat at all, but good' – but refers rather more dismissively to T.S.
