Notes: Snowden, née Annakin and the wife of Labour politician (later Chancellor of the Exchequer) Philip Snowden, was an energetic campaigner for Women's Suffrage, a fact evident in this short letter to a Miss M.L. Williams, in which she thanks her correspondent for her 'extremely kind' letter and mentions that she is speaking at Battersea Town Hall tomorrow, and then at the Memorial Hall on Farringdon Street in a week's time.
