Shepard, pp. xi, 178, crown 8vo, contemporary Asprey binding of crushed red morocco, ornate gilt-tooled border to both boards, the upper board with a Shepard vignette stamped in gilt, pressure mark to both boards, the backstrip lettered and decorated in gilt between five raised bands, this slightly darkened, the turn-ins elaborately gilt, marbled endpapers, a.e.g., very good
