Notes: Inscribed by the author on the title-page to a fellow Australian author: 'John Baxter - Greetings - to celebrate our fruitful meeting, Max Harris, Feb 1985'. The volume collects a decade of literary journalism, from the latter phase of his career - twenty years on from 'Angry Penguins' and the Ern Malley hoax that defined his legacy, to which only the book's title carries a nod.
