Notes: Our author is not to be confused with the translator of the Thousand and One Nights nearly a century before. This is one of a small number of erotic tales he published between his release from prison (for writing against the Convention) and before he accompanied Napoleon on the expedition to Egypt. This is a rare book: 3 copies only in WorldCat, KVK adding only BnF and Augsburg.
