Notes: Apparently a fair copy, but still with plenty of corrections. A note at the end of the main text says that the poem was written before the removal of the remains, which took place in 1840. The poem is written from the victor's point of view, and yet with ungrudging admiration for a great man. The poem is accompanied by several drafts, as well as 2 more poems, both in more than one form, viz.
