Notes: Each with the translator's Cornwall address at head of title-page: E.A. Hopper was born in Moscow in 1887 to Allan Hopper and his wife Esther (née Bernard). No published translation work could be traced, but the two works here clearly evoke the pre-Revolutionary Russia of her childhood.
