Notes: The author, from County Durham, takes enclosure to be a given. The second part is mainly an anthology of extracts on the subject, both of ancient and modern authors, among the latter, mainly Scots - the author wishes 'heartily [to] congratulate Scotland on its acquisition of learned and useful writers, on the subject of agriculture' (p. 71). ESTC T55598 is a Newcastle printing (BL, Newcastle and Kansas only): the present printing is unrecorded.
