Printed for Jacob Tonson, 1682, FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE, lightly browned, first and last leaves dusty, pp. [xii], 20, 4to, bound with 10 other tracts in contemporary, or nearly, panelled calf, from the Macclesfield Library with North Library book-plate, but no blindstamps, very good

Notes: A handsome volume of tracts, all but one from the years 1689-91, on politico-religious (anti-Catholic) topics. The writer, who describes himself as 'a passionate Lover both of Monarchy and the Church of England', appeals for an end to religious bickering amongst Protestants, since that only opens the way to the reinstatement of 'Popery.' The exception to the above categories is the first edition, first issue, of Dryden's The Medall.
