Publisher's Synopsis
"All living things are mine own. From me they come, to me they go." More than anything, Baba Yaga wants balance in the world. Once she was feared and powerful, but her story has diminished over the years to tales of a simple witch in the forest. Now, she is afraid of losing her comfortable anonymity, and her greatest weakness is the fact that she is not nearly as cruel as she seems. When heroes start showing up at the Rookery, she must come back through all the hidden layers of herself-as a fairy tale, a forest witch, and a forgotten goddess-to be Yaga again and set the world right, even if that means that she has to kill heroes and immortals alike to make it happen. All things must end, every beginning demands it.
