Publisher's Synopsis
Billy is a nine-year-old boy who lives with his abusive, alcoholic father in the harsh desert surrounding inland California's Salton Sea. He and his pet bassett hound, Bean, dream of escaping into space. One day, their dreams seem suddenly feasible when they discover that a private spaceport is opening outside of town.
In issue three, the last issue of this initial story, Billy is picked up outside of the spaceport by his father, his dreams of escaping to space shattered. Exhausted and hopeless, Billy finally fights back against his father, with dire consequences.
